DeSoto nursing school founder publishes book

Shirley C. Waite, who helped establish a licensed practical nursing school in DeSoto County, has published an autobiography, "Fifty Years of Nursing." According to a PublishAmerica press release,this book reflects on the author's 50 years in the nursing field, as well as the many innovations in the medical industry. Having worked in three hospitals in New England and four in Florida, Waite explains her experiences from nurse training, early employment and transition into new and improved skills.
