Forest Park poet draws from life’s trials to reach others

In 2001, Sandra Uresti’s 12-year-old nephew died from leukemia.
The Forest Park mother of six empathized with the pain her sister felt after losing one of her children.
Uresti chose to express her feelings in a poem entitled, “Too Young to Die.”
