Man finds poetry a satisfying outlet

Khary Tolliver came face to face with himself through a high school English writing assignment.
The 33-year-old Hagerstown, Md. man has recently released his first book of poetry, a book that resulted from his first moments of self-doubt.
Sitting in class at North Hagerstown High School back in 1991, Tolliver didn't want to believe his ears when the teacher asked her students to keep a poetry journal throughout the year.
