Stories at sea lead to published novel
Ipswich Chronicle, December 15, 2005 by Natalie Miller
Maritime captain George Story has finally caught the ultimate fish - a contract with Baltimore based publishers, PublishAmerica.
Story, a Gloucester resident, has written several books over the years but none had caught the eye of publishers until his book, "Vanessa's Valley." The book was released to stores Dec. 5 after being available to preorder online as early as Oct. 31.
The idea for "Vanessa's Valley" came to Story nine years ago. Originally called "Victoria's Adventure in the Valley," the story focuses on a troubled 15-year-old girl from Boston who is uprooted to Colorado after the death of her father.
