Incest Victim Helping Others

Four in ten women report some type of incest or sexual abuse by a family member by the time they're 16. Two in ten by the time they're eight. Those are the statistics on record. But, the fact is the cases of incest are probably far higher because children rarely tell anyone about the abuse. That's why a local woman is not only speaking up, but speaking out about the years of sexual abuse she suffered from her father. In our cover story, we share her story of healing and hope as she helps others understand and fight back.
