"The high heels weren't so bad, but the laser depilation
to remove the beard...ouch!"
Mike Reynolds of New Haven, Conn., wanted to find out what life was like from a woman's point of view. So for six weeks in 2001, he disguised himself and lived as a woman.
Now back to his masculine self, Reynolds will visit Edwards Bookstore in Springfield to promote his book about the experience, titled "The New Girl," July 24 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
