Hughson Church-goer Gets her Poems Published World-Wide
Hughson Chronicle, April 11, 2006 by Frank George
Polly Jackson, long-time Hughson Missionary Baptist Church parishioner, said she didn’t really know she could write till she decided to compose something for her in-laws’ 50th wedding anniversary.
“I don’t know how on earth I did it,” she said. “But I put together a poem for tem and mounted it in a picture.”
The resulting stanzas quickly became the talk of the festivity and Jackson has since published her first collection, “Thoughts of Mine, Penned in Rhyme,” available April 24 at a Website or bookstore near you.
