ON BOOKS A new look at racial issues in Colonial New Castle

Local writer and jazz singer Meeta Gajjar Parker has published "Cookie the Clown" (PublishAmerica, $12.95), a fanciful children's tale about the title character, who hails from Clownika, and who visits the land of the Gudigads (people). Parker also has three CDs of jazz music out.
