(welcome), I want to say a belated happy new year to everyone...I
just got back from Ghana where I met author, "Roxann
Latimer" who wrote "You Never Know", published
by publishamerica.com. Roxann was in fact in Ghana promoting
her one act play "An African Love Story". I had
a chance to interview Roxann for the Ghana radio station joy
fm where she appeared live...she is a lovely vibrant woman
who looks years younger than her 40 something. she calls herself
a spiritual pan african bbw...we laughed alot and she shared
her thoughts on writng and living in america and being a black
writer and artist where it is harder to market than for her
white counterparts...she said that even though she makes very
little money in africa off her work being produced, she is
at least seen and appreciated...she says the interest in America
for black writers men or women is an uphill battle... well
I'm a big fan of Roxann's and she is currently at work on
her next project "Murder Most Mystic" and volunteering
for the United Nations aids concert in June to be held in
Ghana. A busy loving lady she needs our support i hope everyone
buys her book it was a great read and i for one can't wait
for the next novel to come out!
