Saturday For New Local Author
The Herald-Advocate, Thursday, October 16, 2003 by Joan
Seaman
A man
born and raised in Hardee County has authored his first novel.
Tim Johnson
is the son of Tommy and Virginia Ann (Staton) Johnson, and
grandson of the late Bob “Shine” Staton and his wife, Marie.
He will
be autographing his book, “Twisted Oak,” on Saturday from
9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at With Love gift and book shop at
130 W. Main St. in Wauchula during the Pumpkins in the Park
festivities.
Johnson,
married to the former Elizabeth Klein, daughter of Charles
Klein and Faye Minear, has done his writing in his off-time
over the last eight-plus years while working at Cargill Fertilizer.
The lifelong
Hardee County resident credits his godly upbringing, his savior
Jesus Christ and inspiration of the Holy Spirit for the vision
to write his mystery novel, set in the fictional town of Twisted
Oak, Florida.
The supernatural
psychological thriller, in which the murderer of three teen-age
girls is sought, is subtitled “Eyes of Discernment.”
