Woman writes about rebuilding life after loss

Karla Hicklin's first book took her into a world filled with sadness, depression, loneliness - and sometimes, hopelessness.
As she worked with the three families who had lost a beloved child, Hicklin found herself fighting her own depression. Talking with families who had suffered such a loss was hard enough, but these families were her friends and relatives. Their loss struck too close to home.
