Psssst, don't tell her husband, but Deborah Ann Harter has fallen for another man. The Lakewood author writes about her fictional character like he's a member of the family. And as she warms up to the character, her books get better and better.
She has created a tough-talking, yet sensitive — but not too sensitive — blue-eyed private investigator from Chicago named Cooper. He is the main character in two published novels, with two more on the way.
