The Write Time
Lifelong Port Richmond resident Michele Gonta recently wrote her first fiction novel, 'Du lang! Du lang!' a coming-of-age story about a Hallahan High teen set in Philly during the mid-1960s.

Port Richmond Star, June 1, 2006 by Elizabeth Stieber

Michele Gonta has fond memories of her youth during the 1960s - hopping on the El to head to John W. Hallahan High School, hanging out with her friends, listening to Hy Lit spin the latest tunes and asking for permission to drive in a car with a boy.
