Robert Brown Fulford IV always makes sure his children eat every scrap of food on their plates because there was a time in the Florham Park resident's life when he was starving and alone on the streets and a nickel short to buy a candy bar from a vending machine.

Fulford, 36, did not have a pleasant childhood.
