Les Roberts shares story, source of ideas, settings for his novels

Les Roberts is so intimate with Cleveland that many people ask why he came back after his long career as a Hollywood television writer and producer. But Roberts was born in Chicago, and indeed had never been to Cleveland before he took a job creating the then-new Cash Explosion show for the Ohio Lottery.
So how did Roberts become the dean of Cleveland crime fiction? The story is in We'll Always Have Cleveland, where the author of the addictive Milan Jacovich detective series (Pepper Pike, Full Cleveland and 11 more) explains why Milan is Slovenian, where some of Roberts' plot ideas came from and how he once took a late-night drive ``to scout out the perfect spot to dump a corpse.''
