C’est parfois difficile de savoir comment un cadeau de graduation peut influencer toute une vie. On le constate en discutant avec Jeanne Goguen, de Cocagne, qui terminait ses études secondaires en juin 1976 à l’école Clément- Cormier: «J’ai reçu comme cadeau de mes parents (Éric et Florence) un billet d’avion pour me rendre à Banff où j’allais rencontrer deux autres filles. J’ai travaillé là en juillet et août et j’avais deux emplois, un dans une boutique de cadeau et l’autre comme hôtesse dans un restaurant car je voulais me sauver de l’argent pour voyager. En septembre, on (Jeanne et les deux autres filles) est parti en voyage de plusieurs mois à travers le Canada et les États-Unis et même un séjour de trois semaines au Mexique.»
