An
Interview with Mary Ann
theromancestudio.com, March 2003, by Tina Pavlik
TRS: What inspired your interest in medieval Ireland?
MC: I've always been drawn to historical romance. I do read some contemporary, but the bulk of my reading is medieval. I'm not sure what pulls me in that direction, maybe some past-life experience, but when my genealogical work took me back to Ireland, I just had to write about it. My next book, though, is set in thirteenth century England with an Irish hero, so I float through the British Empire. I've even contemplated doing some set in France, who knows what could happen there.
