Mom finds time to write, publish poetry

The long-awaited package had arrived. Inside were the advance copies of Elizabeth Briick's first book, "Silent Conversations," a collection of her original poetry. Briick, 26, of Joliet, spent her youth writing as much as she could and aspired to one day author a book.
Now, as a single, working mother of a 5-year-old boy, Briick found precious few minutes left over in a day to pursue that dream, although she did occasionally pen a poem or two.
